World Champ, on 808Banon | Celebrate Arkansas

The youngest-ever world beatbox champion hails from an Arkansas town of 90, and, much to his father’s amusement, performs in pajamas. Sprite pajamas, to be precise. 

“They’re comfy,” said Canon Morgan, 17 of his loose fitting Sprite t-shirt and red and black pj pant uniform that he wore for each of his performances at the 2023 Beatbox Battle World Championship in Berlin, Germany. 

Morgan, who performs as 808Banon, has enjoyed a rapid rise within the beatbox community in recent years. Three years into his beatboxing career, he won the loopstation category at the 2022 American Beatbox Championship at 16, a title that comes with an invitation to the next Beatbox Battle World Championship.
